Who?
Hey hey! I’m Carol Eugene Park—a millennial writer and sometimes journalist based in Toronto, ON.
I’m currently working in automotive advertising as I complete my master’s degree in history from the University of Toronto. I know—these are things one does when they’re going through a “FORK, i’m almost 30, what do i do with my life??” crisis.
I spent the last 5 years in Vancouver, BC, where I studied journalism at UBC’s School of Journalism, and then worked in Canadian media in various roles including digital coordinator, reporter, producer, and host.
I’ve taken some time away from Canadian journalism because burn out. Now, I’m a freelance podcast editor for The Ivey Academy Presents: Leadership in Practice, and co-host for alumniUBC’s From Here Forward podcast.
My content interests
I’m a big fiction reader, and often review books for publications like Chatelaine, Quill and Quire.
I’m most interested in works of fiction by Canadian authors, though not necessarily #CanLit (iykyk). Check out my portfolio for all my published works, if you’d like to send me some books to review!
